When choosing a replacement... how do you know if you're getting the correct ratio for the diesel trucks? I've been told the Cummins Rams have a lower ratio for the heavier front end.
Yes the gen one box is just a rebuilt box but I figured I would give it a whirl after reading the trouble others have had with the cheaper parts store boxes
I installed the Borgeson box and steering shaft on my 1998 3500 in June 2010. The difference is very much worth the upgrade. The steering is not only tighter... not stiffer, just tighter, but the ratio is slightly quicker too so better steering response on the highway and fewer turns lock to lock when maneuvering. Highly recommend it, also recommend Geno's Garage for their superior customer service.
