We looked at the new Dodge 1500 truck. They're an absolute joke, look like they should be in a circus carrying a bunch of clowns... . we are praying the new 2500 model will look a lot better. Does anyone know where we could catch a glimpse of it on the web?

If the 2500 model looks like the 1500 model we won't be buying any new Dodge trucks... ...

got bad news for you...

I completly agree. I can't stand the new 1500, and yes the 2500,and 3500 will look VERY similar from what I have read, and seen cammo shots of.

Best buy those remaining 2001 if you can find them, if not them 2002's.

What's up with that tall Pherd Grille???? The crew cab thing is good, I am scared about a grille that is too tall for our Cummins, it could mean German things to come.

I dont know yet:

Its kinda growing on me, but I wouldnt trade my 2001 for one. I just hope the 2500 and up series 2003's dont have their nose on the ground like the 1500's. Also who the heck wants 20inch rims on a truck, that just annoys me:mad:

The sport models look a lot better. Dont care for the chrome ones. I thought the interior was nice. Too bad its not a full size 4 door, but prolly still better than a quad cad as far as door arrangement. Didnt think there was any more room in back as my club cab.

It is very slowly growing on me but, why no extended cab? I think this is a very serious mistake, not everyone who buys/bought a club cab/quad cab wished for a 4 door, many wanted just an extended cab. The 20" wheels (and even the 17's) ofend me also. Next year likely Ford and GM will follow suit creating a whole new expensive wheel and tire market.

I got a quick look at one getting gassed up from the dealer, window sticker said $33,000, this is for a 1/2 ton gasser? My lowly diesel was $26,072.

Most of it is "ok" but the two extra door handles look like some kind of suv crap. I'm glad I bought what I did - when I did... .

I have mixed feelings on the new 1500 and I just didn't feel comfortable with what DC might do to the 2003 2500 & 3500 trucks. So I went ahead and got a 2002. It also bothered me a little that they were most likely going to change the engine to the "new improved" cummins. I am and have always have been leary of new and improved versions or at least being a guinea pig for there testing in the real world. I'm happy with my choice. :D

That is why I ordered a 2001. 5, I was afraid that the 2002 would be held up or screwed up. :( The new body style is UGLY. I really do like my sport. I think the Germans do not care a bit about how cars or trucks look. The guys in marketing are growing and they are firing the engineers...

Quality is job one, err profits are number one, who cares what we sell, next DC may be selling name brand prostitutes in Las Vegas... Certainly they should make more money selling sex rather than cars...

Just have to wait and see..

Guys, I thought the same thing about the Nissan

trucks. When the new Frontier came out, it was the

darned ugliest thing on the road. I had a '95 SE

V-6 king cab 4x4 that was a great truck for what

it is. I still think they are good looking trucks

when I see one on the road. I sold mine to my

dad so at least I can still drive it once in a

while but compared to my Cummins Ram, it's just a

toy! ;)

Nissan has transformed the Frontier into a real

neat truck. I like the new Supercharged crew cab

with the long bed! I'll take one in silver with

the supercharged V6 (wonder if it's bombable? :D)

a 5 speed, and 4x4. Of course I'd never

give up my Ram for one.

I'm sure it will be the same way when the new

Ram 2500/3500 comes out, the first couple of years

will be the ugly duckings then DC will make a few

changes and hopefully we'll have an awesome

truck in a few years, and if we're lucky there

will be a Cummins (300HP/550FtLbs) or more under the hood!

When I was in private practice (a long time ago), I had a client who on every visit to my office at some point HAD to tell me that his fiancee was the most beautifull woman in the country. One day I was sitting in a reasturant having lunch when he came in with a woman; he rushed over to my table to introduce us. Yep; it was her. I thought she was not only as homely as the proverbial mud fence, but down right strange looking too!!

One mans beauty is another's beast.

Well I'm just gonna say it!

I kind like it, OK you can stone me now.

Can't afford a new one anyway:p

Nissan a neat truck?????????

Tell me Chris, you sure you did not fall asleep over your polish bottle with the lid off???,,It has to be the only way a commited Cummins owner could say something delirious,,ageorge asks how they could make the 1500's look like the Phord??,there is any easy answer for that,,If you remember not too long ago Phord had a terrible mini van and was getting their A**es kicked by DC,,Just to show you how much these cats are in bed together, here's the rest of the story,,DC gives Phord 6,yes 6,mini vans that they reverse engineer and come out with the newly redesigned Windstar(i. e. -Aerostar),,When they were done with them a very good friend of mine here in my area that runs a salvage yard bought all 6 completely disassembled,3 were low milage and 3 had none on at all,,He got them because of an engineer he knows associated with DC(not an employee)and they were shipped via a major freight company,,Think about it and how many other things are done this way,,Yeh,I agree the 1500's are not very eye appealing, but, when the 2nd gen's came out many thought they were not either,,What I came not get though is the price,a 1500 Sport loaded, complete with the 20" wheels was listed over $34,000 in my area at dealer,,Round the corner was a new 2500 diesel 6 sp H/O that was only a little more,so I can not figure buyers not comparison shopping,,No brainer on which is the better deal,,Lots of stuff listed on internet about the 2500 and 3500 new trucks,I'll wait and see what they really look like,,I do agree that the deletion of the ext-cabs is a big mistake and hope they do not do that to the bigger trucks, there is certainly not enough room in the new 1500's to call them a full crew cab

No more Quad Cabs.........

All you whiners that want four doors should go buy mini vans. Its nice to have a little extra room, now we have to put up with those ugly door handles now. I was at the stealer yesterday and they said the new trucks arent moving. They are anticipating DC is going to discount them big to get some on the road. I have seen only one so far in my area.

Thank God I bought when I did. Girlfreinds truck is coming soo too. Have to get one before next year, That's for sure.

Garrett

What's up with that crew cab

I was playing at the dealership yesterday when I bought a fuel filter, and took a look in the new crew cab on the 1500. It is actually smaller than the quad cab Dakota! From what I understand, the big boys will have a true crew cab when they come out next year. I sure hope so, cuz when the wife and I have chitlins and I have to upgrade trucks, I sure don't want to be stuck with a Ford!
