Here it is:

1. Not used

2. Open isolation valve or bad control module

3. Open dump valve wiring or bad control module

4. Closed RWAL valve switch

5. Over 16 dump pulses generated in 2WD vehicles (disabled for 4WD)

6. Erratic speed sensor while rolling

7. Electronic control module fuse pullet open, isolation output missing, or valve wiring shorted to ground.

8. Dump output missing or valve wiring shorted to ground.

9. Speed sensor wiring / resistance (usually high)

10. Sensor wiring / resistance (usually low)

11. Brake switch always on. RWAL light comes on when speed exceeds 40 MPH

13. Electronic control module phase lock loop failure.

14. Electronic control module check faliure.

Bringing up this old thread because the instant the rearend broke my ABS light will not shut off. I Thought maybe a chunk of metal whached the sensor in the diff, but have bought a new one since with sam e result. I can get it to stay off for maybe 2 minutes, then it lights up.

Any ideas?

I will try grounding the plug to look for codes.

Kurt

Dumb question, but when you say broke, were things zinging around inside the diff? Could you have a messed up tooth or three on the rear speed sensor exciter ring by the ring gear? I ask because my rebuilt rear axle did not have a new exciter ring installed (as you have to remove the ring gear)and the old one is missing a few teeth and I could not get the ABS/Brake light off until I disconnected the ABS.
