2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission brake light switch

I have a 02dodge 2500 i needed to replace my brake light switch and when i did it wont turn my brake lights on till i push my brake pedel about half way in. I cant figure out how to adjust the plunger so it turns my brake lights on as soon as i press the pedal. Any ideas out there? Thanks
