2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake Line replacement

Did a search with to no avail...



I am looking to see if there are any economical brake line "kits" to replace all of mine on my 96 3500. They are rusty and I have a leak in the rears and figured do them all at once.

I know this isnt what your asking for but if your willing to do a little extra work and do your own bends and make your own flares, it will be the last time you ever have to worry about doing your lines. Completely resistant to road salt, calcium chlorides, and whatever else you throw at it. And it's much easier to work with than conventional brake line. I can actually make pretty sharp bends just by massaging the line by hand with out kinking it. I don't order from this place because I can actually get it here locally, this is just an example.

Not sure what your definition of economical is, but there are pre-bent kits out there in the $300-400 range, if memory serves me correct. Otherwise, get your bender, flare tools and get to it. Do your best to save the original fittings, if only for reference if you need to replace them.

That copper/nickel stuff is very nice to work with, if you choose to do it yourself. Easier to bend and flare.
