Replaced pads ended up with truck pulling to left when braking

Replaced calipers still pulling

replaced right front hose still pulling

changed pads again still pulling

cut both roters still pulling

replaced left front brake hose still pulling

would appreciate if anyone has any ideas

Have you made sure that you greased the slide areas of the calipers and the pins/bolts? Another thing to check is the rear brakes, make sure they are adjusted good. I replaced both calipers and my brakes would pull slightly but once the pads seated in the problem went away. Last of all, make sure the tire pressure is even on both sides and the only other thing could be if you alignment is way out.

Went through this forever. I tried all of the "fixes", some worked for a while and some didn't work at all. I ended up going with the EGR setup and I couldn't be happier.

Make sure the rear brakes are adjusted properly, I fought this on my '99 and the problem ended up being w/ the rear brakes not the front on my truck.

Caliper bolts/pins/slides.

What ever you want to call them.

They should be lubed every 3000 mi. or after every trip on wet roads.

I drove 100mi. on a wet road. I checked the the Caliper bolts 2 days later and found that the lube had turned to glue.

Yes this sounds crazy!

I assure you that the lube was of the highest quality from a very reputable vendor here on the TDR.

When the Calipers/brakes are hot the water gets sucked into the rubber Caliper bushing's when you come to a stop for any length of time.

Once the Caliper bolts and bushings get wet the lube gets very sticky and causes the Calipers to drag. Which then causes the demise of our front brakes!

Check out the new 05 truck brakes. They have a very nice rubber boot to keep the water out.

I am working on a cost effective rubber boot for our 2nd gen trucks.

It's been plenty wet here in California.

I have prototype boots in place on the left side.

I will compare the caliper bolts at the next brake service.

If it works I'll post the pictures here on the TDR.

Ball Joints

New ball joints, both uppers and lowers have cured this truck's brake pull problems. Our students have repaired this truck, it is back on the road. All is well. Thanks for all of your responses!!

I,M FACING THE SAME BRAKE PULL PROBLEM on my 99 4x4. Was getting ready to adjust rear brakes that were just adjusted... ... Your fix was ball joints??? My truck has done this from day one. The drive home from the dealership was interesting, as was the first time I pulled my 10K # trailer. Dealer said ALL IS OK. Hmmmm.
