I just delivered my truck via AAA flatbed to the dealership. In my warranty it states that brake pads and rotors are NOT covered. However, due to the caliper locking up while driving, the driver's rear pad and rotor are trashed. At 66,000 miles, I should have had at least another 75,000 miles out of the original pads and rotors on the rear.
Has anyone else had similar trouble and had the pads and rotors replaced under warranty by their dealer? The service writer said that they would not be covered even though it was caused by the failure of a covered component. :-{}
Of course to add insult to injury, the flatbed was a brand spankin new GM with a Duramax.
Only 400 miles on it. At least he had a real diesel in back as a spare in case his died. :-laf
