Brakesmart Controler to include EGT & Boost

This has been promised for over a year know. Let's hope this is true. Any idea on cost for the additional parts needed.

Installed a new Brakesmart electric trailer brake controler this past weekend and discovered the menu provides EGT and Boost display and cutoff options I called a Brakesmart tech who said yes the new software is installed in my controler and I can expect to see the EGT & Boost adapter kit mid 2005. Apparantly it will be a small under-dash box that the egt thermocouple and turbo boost probe tube/wires will input to along with a harness out to the round plug on the back of the Brakesmart controler. The Brakesmart display has the EGT and Boost options... I will like this better than currently watching my Voltage-Amps (or time-day-date) constantly displayed

If the EGT & Boost guage options require new software (in addition to the obvious new hardware), then this raises the question of how difficult it will be for the older Brakesmart units to incorporate the new EGT & Boost functions. I mean how would one go about upgrading the software on an older Brakesmart controller they already have? Send it back to the factory?

I saw that TV show also and if you recall they never showed the actual details of the installation or the actual operation of the Brakesmart, let alone the boost and EGT functions. All they did was talk about it, i. e. "advertise it". Another typical Two Guys Garage infomercial, if you pay them enough they'll endorse anything whether or not it is actually available!

Talked to the BrakeSmart guys when this first was talked about they said both of my units (one installed July 03 and other installed Nov 02) could be outfitted with the new software just send it in and it was no cost (just S&H).

I noticed mine has the egt menu options as well and it was shipped August of 2004. Not sure if I will install the hardware as I now have the combo gauge.
