I-beam vs. tube frame flatbed (strength?)

PA RV Show

Its good they make it possible to buy parts of the kit so you can leave the harness on the truck when you sell. They just need to have a "kit price" and a separate parts list

so people don't think the price listed is for everything you need.

I wouldn't want to buy a SPA gauge and then find it didn't come with the harness or sensors.

Let me say this, I installed the brakesmart on my truck a 2004. 5 3500. This unit's install was one of the simplest of all the mod's and bomb's I have undertaken. Second, this unit is remarkable in use, it's one of the best unit's I have on the truck for the money spent and I would pay the 15% increase with out a second thought. Third you can program the unit and it will let you see the output of your vehicle like the braking system, you can have the unit read out the brake pressure if you want while applying the brake's etc. . , also you can write anything you want on the unit mine say's " I'm a bad boy" get it!, I have one bad boy truck and now I have one bad boy brake control.

I've been running a BrakeSmart for year or so, I don't mean weekends and a vacation. . . I pull trailers all day everyday. Been loaded bout 75% of the time past year. Course if you read these boards, I've been broke down alot this year. But without a doubt BrakeSmart is the best controller I've ever ran. And I've had many. Ran a Prodigy until I found BrakeSmart. Talked with Jordan Res, Tekonshia, and Brakesmart for an hour each, none of them would warranty for what I wanted to do, which was tow doubles with electrics on both. I don't do doubles anymore, since I've been at it everyday I've seen too many dead people. (None pulling doubles though. ) Anyway if you can get a BrakeSmart hang on to it. . . it's worth it's weight in gold. And Steve's good to his word. I'm scared to death now, so scared I may try and buy another now so I have a spare. Let me know if you've got one you'll sell. JMHO

Cheers,

Steve J

Well, yes. . . sort of. . . but not exactly. Couple weeks ago they swapped my ATS for a BD. . . 3 days later it started slipping. Was on my way to Grande Prarie, AB, with a little bitty tag. Limped along in 3rd not stressing it much and keeping it full o fluid. Now limping back to Lakewood, CO to have a DOC take a ride. If ya pray say a few for me. . . I am.

Cheers,

The quoted 11/04 article was mine. I still stand behind what I said with the addition that I now have around 10K miles of towing experience with this unit. It is truly in a class by itself. The guys trying to get this product to market are doing everything that can reasonbaly be expected. Any of us would hope for the dedication they have shown from anyone we do business with. I think they deserve a break. We can make them a success or a failure. I tell you it is worth the money to support Brakesmart to help them get going. If you don't belive me, give them a call and discuss your questions and concerns. Then try the same thing with ANY other company you do business with. I think this will cause you to come down on the side of Brakesmart
