when I did my twins my turbo guy told me to start my truck and let it idle for AT LEAST 5min before you rev your motor this is just to make sure that all the air has been pushed thru your oil feed to the turbo. If you run it without oil he said it will overheat the brass bearings? and leave brass on the shaft which will effect longevity and void his warranty if he finds brass on the shaft! hope this helps
 
Just put on a new Phat 62 drove it nice on interstate for about 100 miles. Then nice locally for about 400 miles more. After that, started slamming it often. Probably too much break in but I figured it couldn't hurt. Just remember how much they cost. ;) :-laf
 
turbo break in

Ensure that when you change turbos that a fresh oil change happens also, be easy with the new windmill, just like breaking in a new Engine..... Jeremy
