Breakfast Meet 3/20 - Now Exton Diner

Taking this out of the "Members Rides" section.

Saturday, March 20, 10 am, Chester Co. Book Company, West Chester, PA 10 am, for some coffee, breakfast, and a first hand inspection of a couple of the new Cummins 600s (FParlee's, and mine, assuming it is in).

Big parking lot. Depending on how many of us show, they may have to push a few table together for us.

Any Philly area guys are welcome. If we get TOO many, we may have to drive to Denny's 5 minutes away, but I think we'll be OK.

So far, we have me, FParlee, Llawrence, MD500E - who else?

Hey Scott,

good idea on moving this topic here as it was getting a little off track. I am still in and am looking forward to meeting some new members from the area. More than that i am looking forward to drooling over a new "600" LOL. Like Kevin(MD500E) said are we gonna turn this breakfast into an afternoon BOMB party? I'll help you guys howevere i can heck i am at the very least good moral support when it comes to drilling new trucks!! LOL.

I am going to have a small b/s session tomorrow 2/28 with Scott(PRORAM) and Andy(HAMMER) so i will mention something to them to see if they wanna run down to join us. Gonna discuss fuel pressure gauges and a helper/ pusher pump for my rig. Looking forward to the 20th. Keep us posted on the new arrival.

Larry

Larry, sounds great. I hope Andy can come - he has helped me out on a couple issues (club related) over the last few months.

I'm a little nervous about drilling the truck too. As for the bombing party, if we want to make a day of it, we need to find somewhere to do it. That shopping center gets pretty busy, and I don't think they'd appreciate a bunch of greasy guys working on their trucks. I live in a condo with virtually NO parking, so my lot is out. There are a lot of corporate centers within a couple mile with huge lots that are virtually deserted on weekends, but, would the police have a problem with that? I don't know. I know I would like to get my gauges in.

As long as we're done by 5, I'm OK. I'm going to my father-in-law's 70th birthday bash at Hartfeld National that night, so I gotta get home an cleaned up.

Let's see chimes in here to see what needs to be done.

Scott

Scott... . i don't think that parking lot would be a great place either... LOL. As far as the corporate centers i don't know about that either. One problem i can think of with that is no access to electric. For drop lights and drills and what not. I am not trying to invite myself and everyone else, but i think Kevin(MD500E) had mentioned he has a shop to work in i think. We'll see if he jumps in here with any ideas. I got things going on that evening myself so 5pm would be the latest for me as well. Lets see what happens as the time gets closer.

Larry

Breakfast.

As Larry said, if all goes well and the Necks good to go, i'll be there, been such a long time since i've driven my truck i might need lessons. . (any takers??) lol will keep ya posted, Me and Andy

should almost Be sure to be there.

Scott

Hey Scott,

Sounds like lots of interest, that great!!

If we go with the parking lot idea I can bring the 5th wheel. It has a generator and a bathroom. :D :D :D :D

Good thing it has 50 gallon tanks after all the coffee!!

I'm going up to Phoenix truck caps Saturday morning (tomorrow), to get bed liners and such. PaulCreamer is going to be there. I want to see those stacks. But if I see em', I'm gonna want em'!!!!!!! Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Hey QRTRHRS any chance of you jumping in on this?

Breakfast meeting

Maybe a Jerseyite can get lost for the day and make it over. JB
Heck Yea, John, come on over. i'm sure everybody would love to see your setup too. !! Keep us posted.

Scott

I cant wait! I am getting spring fever and need something to look forward to. My parents have a 40x40 pole barn at their house that may be a possibility, I would have to run the idea by them. Only drawback would be lack of parking. They have a long driveway but its sort of tight in the woods. I also have a friend that runs a shopping center in exton that I could ask him about using. There would be lots of parking and he has a shop building there that he uses to work on and store all of his equipment. If he lets us use the shop we will have access to lots of tools and electricity and possibly pulling trucks inside in case of rain. The other good news is the center has a hardware store. I will run the Idea by him next week. At the very least I am fairly sure he would have no problem with us using the parking lot even if we dont have access to the shop. At least we would not have to worry about getting kicked out. Its marchwood shopping center on rte100 in exton about 1 mile north of rte30. Its only about a 7 minute drive from the breakfast meet.

Scott, hope you are feeling better and can make it. JB, I am sure everyone would love to see your truck in person. Especially after all of those pictures that you teased us with!:D

Kevin - If you can make this happen, I think that is what we should do.

The turnout for this is getting huge - at this point, we may HAVE to go to Denny's!

I'm looking forward to it, and meeting you all.

Hmmm, I am always up for breakfast but I can't commit just yet. I may have a conflict due to my job. Geez, would I have to wash the winter's grime off my Ram?

PS I will send you a PM

This will probably be a no go event for me. A recent change of operations at my work place has me now not being able to hold down a Sunday-Thursday bid like I have held for the last 12 years. Those changes have now got me working Monday night to Saturday morning and if I get held on my nightly turn run I don't get back to Harrisburg till near Noon time. All will have to go right the night before this deal for me to even think about trying to make it. So for now I'll say, probably not,but I'll have to wait and see... ... ... ... ... . Andy

As long as my beater Cavalier gets a clutch over my spring break, I'll be down, it's an extra weekend home from school though. I am looking forward to meeting md500 again, last time I talked to him it was pouring down rain and I was freakin soaked...

Well, if I come home, will be my dad and I, he just ordered his new 600 on Friday :)

Where's this place at in West Chester?

John, if ya come across the CB and follow 322 up to route 1 then

left on rt 1 follow that to concordville (322/202) intersection turn right and follow that up a few miles you'll come to the paoli exit.

thats the area there talking about, i'm not familiar w/ the exact place but they'll tell us exactly where i know. those dirrections'll get you close.

Scott

ok. . I know the area... but its been awhile. I know when I turn right onto 322/202 that theres a Ford dealer on the left. . and after that a big RV center on the Right. I used to eat at the Micky D's right before the By-pass on the way to Carisle. JB
