Thanks, TDR Staff

Is ther anyone near Adams, MA?

Hudson valley

First I'll start with this and defend the NE Gang... .

In his comments FParlee says this...

"Now, I have a little PA pride see? And I think the boys up in new england are trying to up-stage us just a wee bit with the barbeque's/dyno thing. (If they were real men, they'd cook their meat on the ex. manifold while doin' the dyno. )"

Now I know he wasn't "dissing" the NE boys and will consider that Fred hasn't attended any of our shows. Because if he did he would know that when they come down to our big Fall Brawl show they bring at least 30 of the TDR's finest rides in a HUGE train. The BBQ/Dyno Rip at Mike Dez's that Massdiesel has set up will be a HUGE show and a blast for all that go. If you have ever met any of these guys you will understand.

Now on to the business at hand...

Things to do that day...

1-Make sure someone gets a pic of Larry Lawrence's truck all salty. I don't think anyone has seen his truck dirty ever.

2-Keep Kevin and Tom from trying to convince you all that nitrous is a ''good" thing for diesels. (BTW,Kevin,IF Tom shows with my favorite truck you may have to hide the keys so I don't get a chance to take it home with me).

3-Give Scott Wexlin's Ford its proper burial and someone donate him a Dodge or Mopar Performance hat now that he has left the dark-side.

4-Keep your eye on Jeff Knight. We all know he is the ''quiet" type and they are always up to something.

5-Someone make sure they set Proram's wastegate down that day and hide the big Bully Dog's. We need for that headgasket to last till warmer weather. Its a bit to cool yet to be changing it again,LOL:D :D :D .

6-"Is there a minimum "shine level" to attend?"... . Hmmmm. guess he has never seen my truck has he. . LOL.

Well ok,so I am in equal oppurtunity drill mode. Hope all that get to go have a good time. As for me,Its still a good chance I will NOT make it. After having a week long episode of "snow trucking 101" and one more night with snow in the forcast up north my rear is whipped. I haven't gotten back from my run any day this week before 11am and have been up against my 14hr rule all week. If tonite has the same mess I will not get back to Harrisburg till near 11am and with the trip from there straight to Exton I'd never make it till after Lunch so I would then just pass and go home. Scott will call em early and check and I'll let him know. Do bring the cameras though,if I do make it it may be your one and only time to see my truck a complete mess.

One last thing that I seen and don't want to forget to comment on and off I go into the wild snow yonder. Some one made a comment about a "dyno" in Pottstown. I will say this, once you see the joint, which is nestled in a alleyway, and meet the owner who is a complete and udder idiot you will never go there again. I was there and met him during a dyno rip with the now dismantled MAFDC(Mid-Atlantic Ford Diesel Club, from which we get Scott Wexlin). He treated us like POS's,gave us no support and as a matter of fact didn't even really care if we were there or not.

I guess the Kauffman Motorsports Gang has spoiled me. Hope to see ya if I can make it... ... ... . Andy

Hammer,

i hate to rain on your parade, but it looks like the snow wasn't as bad as they predicted. With that in mind the roads were pretty much dry when i got home from work this afternoon. So i decided to give her a quick wash!!! She is not as clean as i would like it, but for the conditons of this morning i think she looks good!!!

Would be nice to see ya Hammer, but if not the show season is coming!!! PRORAM see ya in the am here and i'll see everybody else at the diner. Looking forward to hanging out relaxing and talking trucks and just having a good time!!!

Dave, big thanks for killing the dowel pin on my truck as well as toms, and for being patient while I was running all over town looking for a new serp belt. JB, thanks for showing us that sweet truck! Hope we didn't get too much drool on it:D Andy, I glad that you were able to make it after all and Scott, It is good to see you are feeling better and can finally give those twins some exercise;) Scott (swexlin), good luck with your new dodge. I will keep an eye out for it, and don't hesitate to stop on by sometime when you see my truck in the drive. Greg, I will keep an eye out for you this summer as well. Hopefully we can get a chance to play around at the drag strip sometime:D It was nice to finally meet all of you guys. Hopefully something will come together for another kauffmans dyno event before the fall-brawl. Thanks again!

Thanks Scott for the meeting. Never expected a turn out like that but any excuse to get together is a good one. All the trucks were great, even the Fords. Greg you do have a nice Ford. Glad you could come hang out with us. JB your truck is a piece of art, no problem with the belt run. Looking forward to the next time. Talk to you later.

Jeff

First things first..... evilotto(ED) dude you rock!!! A nut and i love it. just goes to show these trucks can handle some abuse. Good luck with the 36 Chevy Cummins conversion and let me know when that things done i'd like to see it. Greg(aka the lonely Ford guy) you have a nice truck and it seems to run pretty good too. Nice work and keep making power!!!

JB first time i met ya and i hope we run into eachother along the way somewhere. Very nice setup u got there and beautiful as well. Your truck was almost my twin, minus the twins of course, but i am young and she might just end up with twins oneday who knows!!

Fred nice rig and Scott(swexlin) hang in there she is coming and in the meantime wear that MOPAR hat with pride!! Tom thanks for letting us use the facilities nice place ya got there.

Last and finally not least thanks to Jeff Knight for helping me with my COMP box. Boy did i miss that thing. . lol. Scott(PRORAM) you helped more than you know with the aid of your toolbox for me to stand on and your flashlight. It's cool u gotta get your business up and running, but just remember i am free most Sat's so don't forget about me when u guys need an extra hand!!

Until next time. It was nice meeting some new faces and i hope we can all get together again soon.

Larry

I'll ramble a bit for you all now...

I got home about 4:30 and went to bed,man I realize now I can't do those 24 up with no sleep things like I used to. I can remember the day when I used to turn the "valley("(Nogales,Az)hauling produce without sleep and it didn't bother me,bet I couldn't do that anymore. . LOL.

Anyway... .

Dockboy,

You don't have to feel slighted in our presence and your ALWAYS welcome. I'll say this and keep saying this, its not about makes(Ford,Dodge or Chevy),its about us owners of all makes getting together and having a good time. When the attitudes come about and the fun stops,I'll be the first one out the gate. That is a righteous Ford ya got all it needs now is some flames and your all set.

Good to see the rest of the group and even meet the newbies amongst us that day. I know some kinda kept to themselves, but,we all did the first time we got together. I wonder if anyone amongst us yesterday could remember the Northeast MD meet years ago,LOL. Lots of stories told, tires being obliterated,a guy who learned how NOT to do a burnout:D(man ya killed our reputations on that one Scott,LOL. ).

Otto. .

Never thought I'd meet anyone made from the same mold as myself, just think of the carnage we can leave in our wake. Its a scary thought for some here and those there Saturday when they realized more than one like me could be around. Oh what fun we will have, whooooo hoooooo..... LOL:D :D :D . BTW,I think the dude in the building across from Toms shop got whiplash trying to run to open the dock door and turn his neck fast enough to see how or what the heck you were doing when you left. Somehow I feel JB was in front going home as I don't think he wanted rubber up on his hood or smoke in his cab.

Scott Wexlin. .

Welcome and enjoy your new hat, but,we forgot to get a pic of you in it. So when you get the new truck call and I'll come down and do a picture of it and you togther welcoming you back from the darkside. Patience is a virtue, your lost Ram will show up soon. Look at it this way, every extra day you spend in the Ford is one more day you'll get out of your new Dodge and one more day for you to appreciate why you made this decision,LOL.

Kev and Tom,

THANKS,

I appreciate the hospitality and the use of the shop. Although Tom somehow snuck out of me driving "Ol Blue" with it not in our presence. That will just cost him later, trust me,,hehehehehehe. With where your shop is Tom we could do this again if you'd like, nice place, centrally located and plenty of parking. One thing I am wondering though Kevin is this, what did you and Tom have hooked onto that 6wheel drive rig that burned off all 6 tires bald?????. maybe I shouldn't ask that. .

And last BUT certainly not least... .

A BIG THANK YOU for the DTR's "wannadiesel" Dave...

WE all appreciate all the efforts and hard work you did while killing the dreaded KDP on the trucks that day. Its nice to see how efficient you have made the process and how quickly you got that many trucks done. I will also say I got my eyes awakened that day and owners who have these not tabbed better RETHINK their decisions and gambles. I did check with the gentleman who did my last cover and it was the updated part, but, finding it moved made my eyes go like this    . while chatting with him this morning I was informed just because you install the new cover does't mean your safe, all I could say was ... "great".

Ah well,

Time for another nap,man my butt is dragging.

Toolman,

I didn't circle the wagons yet,not my style,I'd rather just get mid-evil style... LOL... ... ... ..... Andy

Opps...

ALMOST forgot JB. .

Man that is one slick looking ride you have. Great job on the underhood,it even made me jealous. I'd bet when Sebek sees it you better have the ropes and stationary stands around it. He will want his black truck to look just like it. I'll try and now get the pics I took of it off my camera without screwing them up.

Welcome and enjoy your new hat, but,we forgot to get a pic of you in it. So when you get the new truck call and I'll come down and do a picture of it and you togther welcoming you back from the darkside

Thanks Andy, I do appreciate it. Good group of guys there - some I had met before, others I had not.

New truck... . pretty soon now (knock wood!):D

well guys i had a blast. just goes to show what a little power and a lot of not giving a crap what part breaks next can do. guys you just dont need all that 24 valve and electronic stuff long live the 12v. cant wait for the next time to see all of the guys may be by then i will have twins and then i can brake some more s***:D. jb thanks for eating some smoke on the tag team up the and back i had a great time. hammer we have to talk more. proram i tried to pick a fight to bad the dinner was to close. dock boy nice truck but i saw some strange yellow smoke from that truck when you left i think there is some thing more there lol. as for the 36 chevy project it going to be bad. a 12v and a huge set of twins and a lot of trick eng stuff that i am working on. it was a good time cant wait for the next.
