In trying to get a little better throttle response out of my truck, I started tracing the throttle linkage and ended up on top of the pump housing.
Well I found that the breakover spring was out of adjustment, (per pastor Bob's posting) and that the retaing nut that connects (?) the two plates together was missing. I then manipulated the the plates to achieve the breakover spring position as indicated and placed a new retaining bolt. But my idle was way off and my throttle travel had decreased significantly.
As I am time poor this is where the situation stands. Any help would be appreciated. My thought is that the pump hand been tweaked prior to my ownership and settings had been changed. Not allowing the return to stock settings?
