Today, I stopped by a Firestone Tire Dealer & tried to price a set of Bridgestone Revo, 265/70/17/E's for my '03, 3500 (stock sized tire).
Much to my surprise, the guy behind the counter said that he would rather not install them, or any other Bridgestone tire, on mine or anyone elses Dodge Third Gen. 1500, on up, truck.
I asked him "Why?", and he said the company was having too many Bridgestone tires returned because the tires were very unstable on Dodge trucks. Said the front suspension parts, especially ball joints, were "too sloppy" & many of the trucks drove terribly with these tires installed. Said the sidewalls were too stiff.
He even called their "complaint mgr. " to verify their unwillingness to sell them to Dodge owners. I was there during that call.
I've read of a number of people that have the Revo's on their trucks & most everyone seems to be VERY happy, with them. Have any of you had any bad experiences with the Revo's or any other Bridgestone tire? Anyone notice sloppy front suspensions with the use of these tires?
Any experiences with the Revo's would be appreciated.
Thanks.
