I am about due for new tires. I have the BFG Ta Ko's right now and I am thinking of switching to the Revo. Anyone using the Revo? What is your opinion of them on the 1st gen, for wear, and ride.

Doug

Don't have a first gen. but I love mine. I had KO's also, wore like iron but no grip on wet roads whatsoever. Also had a "radial" pull to the right, had to get certain tires in certain positions or else the KO's would have you in a ditch if you let go of the wheel. LOVE my revo's, track straight as an arrow, quiet, good in the wet, have not tried in the snow yet. Also good in the sand, would recommend them, I only have about 15,000mi on them but they still look new.

Tom

Thank you Tom, I agree with what you say about the TA Ko's, mine do that too. Plus they are a pain to balance.

OK people, keep the feed back coming.

Doug

I am on my 3rd set of Revo II's. I can not say enough good about them. I am so impressed with them in the rain, snow/ice, sand and mud. They are a challenge to force them to slide. They are so much better than the michy/BFG/Goodyear AT's I have tried.

I will admit that you need to keep an eye on air pressure and definitely do tire rotation as scheduled. They wear fast when not in synch. Trust me, I learned the hard way. Also, I doubt I could get 45,000 miles out of a set no matter how hard I try. They are also more expensive, especially in the 17" size which set me back $1,200 for the e rated speical orders for my SW 3500 Dodge.

That said, I am soon to be buying another new set for my Cummins powered Jeep Wagoneer.

I dont have a first gen but have run 2 sets of the revos and think they are one of the best tires out there. Got 58k and 62k out of the two sets.

I have a set of revos on my truck and love them... . they handle great ride smooth and no noise at all. I cant believe how good the hold air most tires loose air these dont leak at all . when it comes time I'd def buy another set:D
