Did the Brite Box ever get its bugs worked out? I bought a complete set including the FogZilla option back in 2007 for my 2007. 5 truck and it finally melted down and quit working in November '08 causing no headlights on one side so I removed the entire thing and trashed it. I liked how it worked but not real happy with how long it worked... it should have lasted longer than it did.

Never had a problem with mine since 2005.

I believe there were some changes made to the way the headlights were wired starting in '06 or '07 that created some problems early on with the Brite Box in those model year trucks. I seem to remember it having something to do with the ECM and dash warnings related to burned out bulbs? One of my box's completely melted to the point of being able to see the light bulb inside and the other side was starting to change shape as well.

I think this was the part # of the kit I ordered 'SD8. FLC. 6 and Bulbzilla kit' (could have been Fogzilla) which gave me Brights, dims and fog lights all at the same time as well as allowing me to change to a brighter fog light bulb.

Ah, yes. They went to the CAN bus. Hope you get the answers you're looking for.

Lamp Out

I've had a lamp out light for about 2 months. One day, it just came on and hasn't gone out. Checked all lights; all work. The only culprit I think it is might be the bright box. I'm going to yank mine out this weekend and see if it's the issue.

Mine is 6 years old. Hasn't been a problem till now; if it's my problem. I'll find out.

Mines been on since new in 06, no issues. There were a few with the first ones but Joel, the owner/builder/inventor worked them out. Get ahold of him and he can and will help you out.
