Buck in Haystack

Broken Ear is what I named this Buck. He has been around here since he was a fawn. His left ear is bent over about half way up.

The second year he was a spike. the third year he was a Y Buck and this year he is a three point.

How he makes it through hunting season is beyond me, but as you can see he knows how to beat the fence to get hay.

We get our eating deer up on the mountain. He's not a pet, but he don't run from us when we go outside if we don't pay any attention to him.



There were 40 elk behind the house this morning. Now one of them would make good eating.

We also dont count the eye guards. Technically a 3pt with eye guards (western count) is a 8pt back east.
