I'm Wondering if any one of you all have the same thing when your pulling a heavy trailer.

When I'm pulling a heavy trailer the truck will start to buck around 1500-2000 rmp and the rpm and boost dose not change and the fuel press is the same. dose any one know what is going on? or does anyone else have the same?

Thanks Keith

Does it do it accelerating thru the 1500-200RPM range, or just trying to hold the heavy load some where between 1500-200RPM.

If accelerating do a APPS reset using the voltage and meter method.

If trying to hold the load increase your RPM's man these trucks were made to work. Mine pulls best holding 2200RPM with a heavy load.

Bucking problems

Yes had it since new, yes new. Mine bucks at 1100 to 1275 rpm even going down a grade. It has at 1700,1800 and 2200. These would have to do with the fuel advancement cam / varing voltage to it. Mine has bad voltage at the PDC probably from the pcm. But not going to spend more thousands of Dollars on no minds that don't know what they are doing.

For me I have seen the bad voltage on an osocilloscope so I know its there. Mine gets very good milage (read no power and hard on driveline ) the APPS doesn't works the way it was designed to.

Mine had it exactly as you described, worse when cold .

Would go away with removal of the VA but of course much less power .

Replaced VA with a smarty this week and the buck is completely gone much smoother overall maybe just slightly less power than the VA but killer throttle response.

yes it it dose it accelerating thru the 1500- 2000 rpm range. and only on heavy loads.

how do you reset the apps?

Well I'm not the only one who has this to.

thanks Keith

did the surging go away by resetting the apps because mine surges pulling a load and i have a super chips and 4inch straight exhaust added fuel pump and gauges.

Mine will buck without a load sometimes like if I'm going up a hill. I turn the box off and it helps for the most part. Sometimes it does it sometimes it don't. I could be those big sticks too! :-laf
