Did a search on the last Buckstop GP, looks like it was in January... thought I'd post a poll to see who might be interested again. I have a new rig on order, and until there is a proven cure for BOMB bug bites, I'm stuck with all the symptoms. If interest is good enough, I'll go forward and set it up.

I'd be interested depending on the discount amount. Im currently ready to order a bumper from Supercraft for $750 shipped to my door.

Is it set to Buckstop only? I like Trailready and I've looked at Off Road Alloys bumpers and there really nice. But about double the price.

I'm interested even with Buckstop.

TTT=To The Top, for those interested but this thread may be buried in their queue.

I believe the discount was on the order of $230-$250 from their posted prices.

Dawna,

I'm in the air freight industry. I can get really good deals on getting stuff like this sent north. The more the better. I can ship it to Fairbanks, then from FAI to Anchorage for free. Transfer to NAC for shipping to Kodiak (I think they run a shedule in there).

I work for Everts Air Cargo. An off hand guess I'd say all the way to your door for 200 bucks. But I could be way off.

Anyone have a weight on these things. I'm guessing 150# +. If anyone knows I can get a freight quote for us Alaskan boys.

I am interested as well. I'm talking my little sister into getting one for her 2003 2500 Hemi as well (she creamed a deer going 65), so it is possible that I would be ordering two bumpers.

Buckstops

Hello all, my first post but i've been lurking a lot. :)

I am definitely interested in a group buy of the

Buckstop bumpers. I want both front & rear.

So thanks Cryppie for coming up with the idea

and hope it works out.

Group purchases are a great way to get a product for a discounted price and make friends along the way. I was part of one several months ago and enjoyed it very much. That said, there are way too many people on these sites that have over the top expectations. You are not going to get a 50% discount, nor 40 or 30%. If all goes well you might end up saving 10-15%, most times enough to pay for the shipping or at least a good portion of it. A group buy isn't for the guy that wasn't interested in the product to begin with, for this buy it's a bumper by BUCKSTOP. For the people that might have been thinking about purchasing a new bumper, this is great, they save some and feel good about purchasing their bumper with others. It gives them a common subject to chat about before and after the purchase, and it's fun to hear when everyone gets theirs in and installed. But for the people that were never considering a bumper purchase, their is not enough discount to compel someone to jump on board just to save some money. Also, the buy was for a BUCKSTOP line of bumpers, not TRAILREADY, or any other brand. Want one of those? start your own group purchase. Another common problem with web sites is that alot of folks seem to let their mouths override their check books, this just means alot of people will talk about buying a bumper but few will actually go thru with it. I think on ours we had 9 people that bought 13 bumpers, and probably had 25 or 30 say they were going to buy. It didn't realy matter on our purchase, we had enough to insure a nice discount, but it was amazing how many talked for over a month about their purchase, and then canceled at the last moment. Just be aware of it, and except it as "Normal" behavior.
