New engine

Its time for bigger turbo & injectors on '06

Yeah, that would be nice. They recently picked up Twin Air, so there is probably pressure not to create a competing product in house. Hmm... .

I have heard good things about Twin Air, and they are a well respected line. But I agree a Nanofiber would be better. Oh well, just trying to put the info out there. :)

I just put one of them there AMSOIL Ea Absolute Efficiency filters on my VW (part #: EAAU3050). I'm VERY impressed with the filter compared to the K&N it replaced. I took some pictures in the sunlight prior to installation, but will have to see if they showed the holes in the K&N filter media like I intended.

The AMSOIL filter is also lightyears better than the K&N in quality of construction... there are no cheesy metal clamps to hold together the pleats in the new one.

I didn't notice any power increase, but not having filter media oil and other gunk flowing across the MAF sensor sets my mind at ease. :)

I think AFE is coming out with non-oiled filters as we speak. They do not have a 24-40024 (Scotty II) YET, but my bet is they will.

Yup. AFE has a similar product coming out soon, but I couldn't wait any longer (the K&N had a big hole in it) and figured I'd give the AMSOIL a try...

The nice thing about the Nanofiber filters versus the other oil-free filters on the market so far is that you don't have to wet wash them with a special filter cleaner solvent and wait for them to dry. Even the AEM dryflow filter you have to wet wash. The Nanos you just blow out with air and throw it back on.

The old AMSOIL oiled foam filters I never liked. They did the same thing the other oiled filters did - barf oil and dirt up the intake. But these Nanos I am liking a ton.

Greetings Duluth Diesel; Advice pls. I have an (oiled) Air Raid filter in my 2004. 5 CTD, 5. 9 HO. What Amsoil oval type Nano Filter will replace this? #4091? Thanks.

I installed this setup a few years ago... . Injen PF8075P

It does pull the filter minder even when clean with the stage 1 injectors and bigger turbo... Smarty and TST.

Uses Amsoil EA Nanofiber
