No, DON"T dump methanol on the ground, evaporate it off or recover it with a still, here is what i am building right now.

The wash water is just grey water,(after the first wash, which must be cleaned of methanol) and using koh it makes good fertilizer for the lawn.

Hey Dirk here is a picture of my still. Once the Methanol is removed you can sell the glycerin to someone who makes soap which I do and the rest I make fire logs for camping. I get about a 40% return on my methanol which is well worth it. I just doesn't make any since to let that your money evaporate and not to mention the pollution.
