Bully Dog?? not working right

So I had not down loaded an update from bully dog in a long time pulled the transmission and figured what better time. Now when I go to reload it get all kinds of trouble wont finish loading. Or when doing options the screen freezes. I have used the call in support and was told to to start truck while down loading which used to be a no no. Anybody else having trouble with it. Do I need to look else where? Oh by the way had the down loader since the truck was new and no problems this is the first

Did You use the agent to Update? and any New equipment installed on the Truck, Auto start , Stereo, Etc.

yes I used there agent and nothing new but a transmission but they used all of the old sensors and electronics for it.

If the downloader takes the update the device is good ,Update the downlaoder again and see if it takes smoothly.

what version did you update it to?

Usually having you start the truck is just the techs making sure that the truck was not killed

Version 2. 5. 3 thanks for any help. Kinda nervous about removing the program now and re updating. Do not want to fry my computer

that is the most recent update.

Does it freeze up when your connected vis USB?

only when sending info to the truck, the program downloaded to programer fine. But uploading to truck is the sticking point. The major part goes in then when it asks for power level I hit the level that I want programmer says sending info. Thats it unless you start truck. That is what the tech said to do. Never did that before. So then on to the add ons like seat belt acc power it will take one maybe two add ons then freeze up.

Maybe backdating it to a older version might work.
