I have run the TST box on 7 and 8 combos, runs pretty good with just an airaid intake. Doesn't compare to Bullydogs programming on the bottom end. Stock 04. 5=turbo lag from hell, 04. 5 w/TST on 7's or so=improvement, but still a pain at stop lights, 04. 5 w/TST on 5's or so and Predator 85hp stage 2 fueling box=better bottom end, but Bully Dog on insane with 85hp Predator and TST off in four wheel drive=insane, no turbo lag (compared to stock), touch and go on the pedal, 1/4 pedal=like 3/4 before with TST. I put the TST on 3/3 once and gave it about half a pedal, RPM's shot up to 3400 (I know, few hundred past redline), screams pretty good. Not from a dead start, 20-30 ish, 80 comes up quick getting of the freeway. I haven't done any wide open runs at all, concerned about excessive boost pressures. Need my turbo to survive till I can spring for twins. If I had a choice of one box, I would probably take the Bully Dog over the TST. On higher settings my TST seems to have boost surging and other weird things. Not so on the Bully Dog, just the scream of redline. The Bully Dog Downloader does have the same problem though that I noticed with the very first Bully Dog box (torque dog 0/70/110 hp) I bought for my '03 555. It seem to continue to fuel for a second or so after you open it up alot, usually full throttle. It surges lightly and acts as though your still feeding it fuel. It was such a problem on my first torque dog that I had to trade it for a replacement. As far as the downloader is concerned, I only noticed it a couple of times, just a hint of it. Guess it's time to cut off the exhaust from the cat back, feed it out the side in front of the back tire. Seen a couple of PowerJokes set up that way, it was the only thing that looked good about a Ferd.
