It will do every thing the power pup did.
I never had a power pup, I am guessing all 3??

Seems the way the software is delivered it would be a neat idea to make available different combinations like timing & duration for those that don't want pressure. Or pressure only for those with a TST etc. .

Matt,

TDR member muddymess told me the power pup used timing/duration on tow setting and no pressure and added 30 hp worth of pressurre in the performance setting and 50 hp worth of pressure in extreme setting. I talked to a chief Engineer at Bullydog who told me the same thing without my asking specifics, and also said they use a lot more pressure on the Crazy larry setting. I have never used it myself but have talked to a few who have and all liked it. What I wonder is how so many get away with stacking it(if you can call it that) with so many other modules? I have seen the ramifier which seems to be the most popular and also the quadzilla modules and Juice as well as the TST. That is what puzzles me? Or maybe we haven't waited long enough to see longer term problems with any of these stacks? seems like one of them would be too much pressure or timing to me?? Go figure. My curiosity is peaked. oh oh...

Good to know, I may consider something like this for my 05 though I have been looking at the Juice. In the past I have not been a fan of downloaders but this one sounds pretty neat as it stores your OEM settings first and NOT just a generic stock setting.

One thing about fueling mods that I don't like is being afraid to let another driver behind the wheel who may not be so careful to watch gauges and have some common since or sympathy on the trans.

For me an ideal setup would be a concealed simple control that always defaulted to stock on each start up. That way I can turn it up if I want and any other drivers using it after me get stock.

I don't care if someone drives my 05 now cuz its stock but with the 03 I was anal about it, told my son it was like my underwear and to stay away!

Funny thing is he now owns it and I don't care now.

I was under the impression that it DOES download a generic stock setting.

Unless they are mis representing themselves it was this article that led me to believe it would first "upload" what you have before it downloads another.

All modifications to your vehicles ECU by the Triple Dog Downloader are completely reversible. Before your ECU is flashed by the downloader it uploads the stock settings on your ECU so that everything is completely reversible by simply setting your vehicle to Stock and uninstalling your downloader

"Even though the Triple Dog Downloader increases the horsepower of your vehicle, it will still improve the fuel economy of your vehicle as well. This is due to the fact that the downloader, in order to gain horsepower, causes your engine to burn fuel more efficiently which in turn will improve your fuel economy. "

Big P - The Power Pup uses a generic program for the stock programming. The Triple Dog, (according to the way it is worded), downloads your programming from your truck. They are discussing the Power Pup over on the DTR.

I didnt make it to the dyno yesterday , maybe today. I did get the hp #s from bullydog yesterdy & here they are 03`-04 tow=66hp-----------performance=94hp---------extreme=113hp--------crazy larry=n/a---04. 5 to 05 tow=54hp-----------perormance=78hp---------extreme=140hp----------crazy larry is avalible from the internet upgrade for free

Well, I just couldn't resist. I bought one to play with. I couldn't believe the price either. :D If anybody is looking for a good deal on one, let me know via PM. The vendor I bought mine from is pretty much guaranteeing a rock bottom price.

John Robinson,

Does it cost extra to download the "Crazy Larry" program or is it free?? I forgot to ask this simple question befoe.

Are you going to stack or pull the TST?

Of course I will stack. :D I did it last year when it first came out with my 2003. It had some glitches when it was first released so I ended up with just the TST. From the sounds of it they have the glitches worked out. So now it is time for some fun. :D

Ok, now can I stack the BDTD and either EZ or Juice?? Probably the EZ, dont have a clue on the Juice though.

with the right combo the ez, BDDL might be a good mix. However on the extreme setting on the bulld dog downloader it already raises rail pressure. So I would be careful adding more with the EZ. I am not sure if anyone has tried the juice with the BDDL yet. I would guess it would have similar results to the TST. That being a big :D
