Sorry Kyle you are out of luck... for two reasons. First, the bumper is no longer being fabricated as the designer/fabricator is in poor health and had to close his shop (I believe this was the ONLY one made too), 2) I have first dibs on the purchase of the bumper you looked at on the Reader's Rigs page if Andy Perreault ever sells it #ad
... right Andy? I bother him about this every time he brings up the subject of wanting to purchase some acreage (which is at least once at every NW BOMBer get together)... I tell him he can sell me that *****in bumper to greatly increase his war chest.

I just got my diff cover and in the box was a MagHytec brochure. On the back is a 96-97 2500 with the coolest bumper I've ever seen. Swing away with tire carrier and toolbox, backup lights, and a receiver hitch with a TDR cover on it.

I called Jerry at MagHytec and he told me the owners name (I won't repeat it here).

If the TDR member from Washington is out there and listening, please E-mail me back and let me know where you got that bumper.

You mean this bumper? That's Andy Perreaults' 97,and a real cool bumper it is. It even has two hollow storage compartments inside it. Like John mentioned,Andy says this is the only one ever made.

After market swing away tire carrier bumpers are made for jeeps. Maybe one could be adapted to fit the Ram. Or find a custom bumper builder to make one. I've thought of doing this so I can put a fuel tank under the bed where the spare tire goes.

Heck, I was even talking to Jason Burton yesterday about the possibility of modifying one of his NW Custom rear bumpers similar to Andy's... ... . and I'll bet he's still laughing about that request. #ad

85CJ, look at the pic of Andy's Ram... you can see the 38 gal. Transfer Flow auxiliary tank where the OE spare would reside.
