I see Smoke!
Well, after wrenching almost 3 days straight this past weekend (doing everything on a truck at once to get it ready for pulling is ALOT of work ie

ump R&R,Building Twins, hood stack, Custom intake, Pluming new cooling system (new rad), electric fans/water pump, Water injection,Set up my ARB Locker, Air Shut-off, fuel dump, dual feed, fuel cell, electric fuel pumps, Custom Guage console with 6 guages, 10 switches, built my own reese style hitch, custom pulling draw bar, traction bars, and last but not least drive shaft loops... there is probably more that I forgot but its alot of work to do all that at once just to get it ready to pull. Would be easier to do a few things at a time but that wasn't possible.
Anyway, after the busy weekend I finally got all the wiring finished and it was ready to fire for the first time with the twins/hood stack.
Alot of you guys in this post said they wanted to see the "First Smoke" so here it is. Actually, it wasn't the first smoke (after the initial start up I let it idle for a while to break in the new turbo's then let it sit at 1500 RPM for another 10 minutes why I checked truck over for leaks, vibrations, hidden tools (found that 10mm socket I was looking for Friday!!!). Then just before final shut down we did a few short snaps of the throttle. I am amazed at the smoke from the hole setup and can't wait to see what its going to be like under load (highest RPM tonight was only 3500)
Here is a cheesey video I just put together for you all to see.
YouTube - First Smoke with the Hood Stack
Not much left to do on the truck other than clean up the wiring for the guages, paint the trim ring on the hood stack stack and build my my weight bracket (I have decieded to put a 30"x10"x8" tall box out front and fill it with lead weights (I have 1200 lbs and will pour it molten into 10"long 2x2 thin wall square tubing and cap either end. Gives me room to move weight around if I want.
Anyway, thanks for all the comments on this post and Saturday the 25th is my first pull with the truck (I was planning on bringing it down to Schieds but this is my home town pull and all my family/friends that have watched me wrench on it for over 3 years now are comming to see it pull for the first time.
Thanks again... RyanB
