Construction of a Diesel Dragster

Dieselboss

I have 1200+ hard hours on my MF. It is truly amazing how much work (abuse) these compacts can take. About all I can complain about is they are like Jap cars, no leg room and the "tippy" high center of gravity. I can take my big Case 4x4 places I would not dream of taking the compact.

I bought a L3010HST in 2001, fine machine. Reliable and much easier to put in a long day with the HST one pedal transmission. I plow snow, backhoe, grade, mow and when thats over I tug old warbirds at local airshows. (Numerous P51's, AT6's, Grumman albatross amphibian and a Mitchell B25 bomber)

So have fun with your new rig!

I got the L300dt with front endloader / wood s backhoe, brush hog, chipper.

I can say enough good about it. It has done alll I have asked of it.

These smaller tractors are definately high center of gravity. Wear the sear bealt and be careful.

congradulations!!!!!!!

Since Cummins isn't offered in a compact tractor (that I know of),

From what I understand, you do now have this option. Kukje Mfg. of South Korea has an alliance with Cummins to manufacture the A series Cummins engines. Kukje makes the Branson and Century tractors, and are supposedly starting to use these engines in the newest models. You can read about it here. http://www.tractorbynet.com/

Where's all the John Deere guys? c'mon chime in! Oh well, I'll go on driving the right color tractor then. hehehe ;)

Had a JD 950 for 8 years. Used it for everything: snow plowing, tilling, finish mowing, bush hogging, log skidding and splitting. 2wd with salt solution in tires. Never got stuck. Only maintenance was lubrication and changing fluids. Loved that tractor. Last of the really good compacts.
