Replacing Hitch on 2004...

I have a 27' FR trailer. We just took it in to have all the problems fixed. We have been fixing most of the problems our selves. We gave them a hit list that was VERY long and the owner of the dealership that we purchased the trailer roller her eyes and took a deep breath. I think that if this trailer were a car or truck the manufacturer would be lynched from the closest tree.

I have not had a single problem with my 2006 HitchHiker. Not a low priced unit but it's my second HitchHiker and I think they are one of the better made fifth wheels. I only had one minor problem with my 1998 and since I've lived full time for 4 months in the 2006 I would have expected any problems to have shown up by now.

ED, I know first hand what a pain in the rear it is to try and get the "bugs" worked out. Most of the problems i had with my 05 29BHBP wildcat (forest river) were pretty minor. I ve been told i have a "perfectionist" eye with a shade tree hand so maybe i was too picky. I know with your carpentry skills it must drive you nuts to see all the sideways staples and delaminated trim pieces. you known if you could just go to the factory and use their parts you could put to gether a way better product.

Since i lost my last trailer in an accident, i've been shopping like crazy trying to find the best product..... so far its not there.

I want a 29-33' bunk house 5th wheel, but to get to the quality you have to go over 36'. In that size and quality no one offers a bunk house. so i guess im going to have to settle on something.

If it were only.......

just the small stuff.

231jasons, I overlooked the small stuff, staples, curtains falling down missing screws, handles falling off lack of screws etc( a lot of that SHOULD of been taken care of before delivery, but the dealer did not. My mistake. I took delivery. )

This one has some serious flaws that I have never experienced before. Things that i asked to have fixed, but were not, that multiplied when I went on the Arkansas trip.

I have decided that "when" I ever get this thing back, I'm going to do my best to be my own warranty station.

I'm stuck with it for awhile so i have to make the best of it.

Another satisfied Arctic Fox owner here. After weeks of shopping/looking there was no comparison to any locally available trailer - including the Cougar series.

We have an '04 Glendale Titanium 24E29 (24' from axle to kingpin, and 29' overall) which have been fortunate that the only repair was an inverter that was replaced under warantee. It has one LR slide and is a bit cozy for the two of us. We are just over 5' tall so the 60" x 74" queen bed is not a problem. The rig is 8700# where the '07's are 9900# and tow with an '03 3500 HO 48re and 373 gears. This might be over kill but no more sweaty palms as in the prior 32' alpenlite (14000). The RV shows are the best place to look. Hope this helps. Don
