Hi all. When is the last time you saw one of these:

Say this:

The interesting part is that it's not a B.

#ad

That is a 8. 3 C Series.

I promised to post a couple pictures when I got it finished.

Glad to see you got it finished!

Just curious what kinda milage you have seen with it?

Have you turned up the 8. 3 at all? Do you intend to?

Looks good..... Like the color of the truck.

Of Course. I would like to get a thousand miles or so on it first.

So you literally jsut got done with it

So the 8. 3 is stock right now... correct?

I think this would be an interesting write up in the TDR... ... or any magazine.

Yes the engine is stock right now, 325 Hp and ~1050 lb*ft torque. I did bump the timing up a couple degrees when I built it. I have not got the fuel milage figured out over enough fill-ups to be accurate, but right now I am in the upper teens to lower twenties.

If you can psot some more pics, I think we would all like to see how the interior came out. :D

If I recall it came into the firewall about a foot and a half.

Oo. Great job! Oo.

This is a beautiful job... .

The more I learn about the Cummins. . I would like to do this. We would like to build a custom tow vehicle that I can drive on a daily basis.

My wife and I like the looks of the 55 Chevy and it looks even better made into a crew cab sitting on a 1 ton frame with dual rears. And also a nice wood flat bed. .

And with the 8. 3 and the Fuller trans. . this would be a stump puller.

May I ask the cost of the transplant for the drive train??????

More Pictures in no particular order:

Front engine and spring mount

#ad

Putting crank in block

#ad

Engine mounted in Truck before I put the front sheetmetal on.

#ad

Custom dash

#ad

Dash center section

#ad

Locating where to put engine

#ad

Locating where the front axle should go

#ad

That is all the pictures I have handy at the moment. Enjoy.

Very nice setup :)

I can't imagine all the time and effort you have into this conversion. There must have been a thousand little things that popped up while you were building that had to be addressed. It sure all turned out great.

so much ya want?

Now this is the way they should come from Ford, remember now, Ford owns Cummins.

C-man, can you give details on what all the gauges are, and the center dash section, what are those switches.

If you want it bombed, take it to dave mitchell, and he will put the power in it. Just think about his truck, with 2 more litters. :D

How does it drive for a daily driver? What kind of exhaust does it have? How loud is it?

Looks great man.

SOMEBODY, is just full of questions today.

Awesome Conversion C-Series.

When you start BOMBing your 8. 3 I think the main concern is going to be traction,LOL,

That should be one awesome highway hauler.

It has to sound too cool.

Merrick N Jr

well what do you expect....

Merrick,

I only had one class, today, so I didn't get all my questions for the day out.

lol,

Andrew:p

I had a few questions too anc C-man wants to answer them here for eveyone. So... .

sterling 10. 25? 10. 25:1 ?

What rpm are you running at ~70mph?

The fuller seems to be readily available from big trucks.

Do you know where I can find out the ratios in the fuller?

Sorry to bug you but I have tons of questions.

It took about 35 weekends. The transmission is a Fuller Roadranger 14609A, Front axle is Dana 60, Rear axle is Sterling 10. 25, Transfer case is NP200

I like that a lot.

How long did it take? What transmission and running gear?
