What colors were the cab clearance light bases available in?

IIRC they were always white.

I have seen White and Grey and even a Light Tan color

Hella also made a chrome set.

They were all grey 1975 to 1993 . There were chrome ones offered as well.

I could swear the ones on my ‘81 dually were white.

White on my 91.5 & the spare sets (pulled from a 92 & 93) are white as well.

I have seen grey, white, and Hella did make the chrome ones that use to be available aftermarket. I often wonder if the white is just the faded grey. Cant recall ever seeing any 1st gen catalog with factory white ones so they must have been grey.

The white cab clearance lamp housings I have are white on the undersides as well.

That reminds me, have to search for those couple sets off NOS chrome Hella housings I have put away somewhere

10-4, I'll text you when I do, I had 12 lamp housings to make two sets + a spare assembly for each set.

I remember swapping out the 194 bulbs with 168LL bulbs, and putting NOS Pentastar amber lenses + NOS Chrysler gaskets with stainless screws back on them (they were just the Hella housings & ground spade terminals), and then putting the whole mess somewhere safe.

"Somewhere safe". I love that line. I use it all the time. Never sure where to find it. lmao
