I am having some hard start problems with my 1993 cummins starts great when cold, but when the engine is warm it wont start . It has a new fuel shutoff sol. it is getting great voltage,new fuel filter,correct timing,good starting rpm's etc any input would be appreciated. thanks

When it wont start pour cold water on the pump and wait a minute, if it starts, then you need a new injection pump head as the old one is wore out.

You also risk plunger siezure but then, if your pump is shot, it won't matter.



Never spray water onto a hot pump head.
