Sounds like a couple of half drunk Minnesotan Rednecks on snowmobiles going across a lake with their 900cc sleds... . doing 120 and hitting an icehouse or a ice heave or something. Is someone bringing the video camera for this... . I wanna see everything on Americas Funnies Cop Videos!

turbo tweeker totaled his 900cc last winter and has developed jealous tendencies... why make comment like that?

somebody's willing to race thier $100k car and is willing to share part of the fun with us! Be a little appreciative of being able to be part of it and have a beer before you ruin it for the rest of us.

The"3 liter" toyota is a tried and true performer, with proven numbers to back it up, the trash talk is good for a laught though, definitely a "jackstand" racer... .

...

Hey Klocklier: Is Garth still doing the video productions business?Or am I thinking of a different Garth from Vegas?I remember him at a dyno day back in 2001 with a pretty sharp looking excursion. He's totally a cool guy. . Hasselbach quit "hasseling" . . get er done'. . be careful guys. :-{}

UPDATE: Hasselbach never showed and never called back. Garth and the boys went up to the meeting place this morning with the car ready to go.

Setup a race with a 187rwhp Hayabusa, from 40mph on. The race "course" is from bridge to bridge, 7/10 mile.

Garth beat the 'busa by 2. 5 BUS lengths, and was radared going through the second bridge at 214 MPH! He says the car was still pulling hard in 6th! From the dyno, I know the end of 5th gear (1:1 ratio) is 194mph. No idea where 6th runs out (yeah, I could do the math, but why?), but it would likely pull HARD into the 240-250 range, maybe more, with the right tire.

Cummnzpowr, yes, that is the same guy.

That's some insane speed, I would image to run over 150MPH you have to think about a lot more than just HP, such as aerodynamic downforce, and everything must be balanced perfectly and bolted down. What kind of tires does it run? I would also imagine he gets a fair amount of unwanted attention from the law.

*cracks beer*

Oh Give me a Break... Hasselback hasn't been willing to share. We all knew he wasn't gonna show. Ruin it? What was there to ruin? All talk, no action.

I do have a question for Hasselback..... I believe you said you have a CL65. I'd like to see a picture of the top of the engine. I always get a kick out of the Personally signed engine plate they put on those cars. One man builds each engine start to finish. He then signs it when he is done.

This sucks. I can't believe how excited i was, what a let down. I'm a little ashamed i checked for TDR updates so much for the last couple of days, I'm such a looser... Where's my beer?

I motion to remove Hasselbach from the board...

Hey wheres my beer.

I had to get off the coach and get me one inbetween commercials of Power Block on spike TV.

Yep, the outcome of this race was very predictable...
