ol Sleddie can line up like the rest of them, but I doubt he has the resources of EDGE , or the ingenuity of Keating Machine , so I wish him luck. .



Question is still out there , if everyone’s buddy’s brothers Navy buddy has a truck faster then mine , where is it ?

And I do apologize to anyone that would have liked to see me in Indy , I would have liked to have gone , but there is only one of me , and I can only do so much on volunteer help. Back then the record appeared out of reach , and my benefactors did not want to spent the money to buy one lousy head gasket , and thanks you Great Plains Cummins for the head gasket , and 4 core motors . My “53” block was split from front to back, and ****** water under the tires, my attempted to dry block it, was ok but not optimal .

I tried to reblock it , but not one of my blocks would clean up at the bore of my current pistons . , and I after hearing rumors from a good source of a tech debacle, I just lost the drive to go to that one race 800 miles away , and run to two , two hour sessions . Do I really believe that the tech would have gone down that way , I don’t really know , I would have loaded my Freightliner , and hit the road. But there is only so much one person can do.

Now the money is there to complete my engine development projects , and push the edge of diesel drag racing engine technology. I run a successful race program in several classes , so the chance of some one getting a by run because of me not being in the other lane is not going to happen.





In 2000 when I was chasing comp points , I broke my only V6 Chevy Splayed valve motor. I alone with a few other jumped thru hoops made it happen and showed up with what it took to run , and quarter final the race. We worked day and night to get it together .

I would have done the same at to get to Indy , but rumors , knocked the want too out of me.

Even after putting the rumors on the web , the people at the sanction body , did not do their due diligent part , and squelch the rumor , but came back with the reply on the net. “ we will apply every one of the 30 or 40 something rules to your truck. ’ .

Would they have really done that in my best guess , No! but at the time tempers flare, and when you invest as much of you self in a project, as I have you become passionate about it. I was not going to be disrespected.



I have had many opportunities to go and run competition eliminator again , some of them good rides , but I have decided to ride this diesel deal to the top. There are a few big opportunities coming for my program, which will involve a very visible mainstream national campaign . These will bring exposure to diesel fuel , and potential legislation on diesel power vehicles .

No, the question is where is your truck, and when is it going to run at a legitimate Diesel event, with witnesses, and,- you 'll like this part- a video camera.

Easy on him Sleddy, back in them days they didnt have video cameras for the 147,000 plus in the stands.

Maybe Keith could show up at Mopars at Strip in Vegas the end of March . I will be running that race . heck . give me the list of your Charities , and Ill send a cashiers check for some one to hold , like Scott Benz , or David Dunbar . you send your . best two out of three.

Real drag racing , full tree , or Pro Tree.



Maybe you as a shoe would like to do a charity bet on lights best average light .

I still don't see that as a reason- if your truck is competing in active racing- you are teched at every race, no questions! Again WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL WITH GOING THRU AND PASSING TECH? ? Unless there is something you are hiding or you are not compliant with the rules. ... ... . What did you want them to respond with? That they would allow you to race without following the rules that govern and protect all parties involved including the track owner, by not having a stringent tech inspection that ALL participating racers MUST PASS? Get over it already.....

Greg, please take this only in the positive spirit intended...



First, where's yours? :)



Second, a split block won't run hard and would disappoint fans. But if you'd fixed it, why'd you let rumors keep you away? A call to me or Eric would've set you straight; you'd've been teched the same as everyone else: not being in a competition class, you'd've been teched on safety equipment alone.



I've said it before and I'll say it again. DHRA is about diesel motorsports, fair competition, and interconnecting fans, dieselheads, vendors and racers/pullers. When the gates open, personal opinions are left outside the gate. Anyone who has the chutzpah to show up and compete at a DHRA event gets a fair shake; this will never change as long as Eric and I have anything to say about it.



It might be enlightening to ask our pullers from the 'EEP camp' how they fared this year: they were treated with the same dignity and respect as all the other pullers, like our (now retired) puller who needs an XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL helmet to fit his head, the young man who always challenges competitors to beat "Off Constantly", Cooter Bob, The Missouri Madman and others. Well, OK, there's some humor mixed in, too. And not to leave drag racing out, let's not forget Team Stuckey honoring the Pro-Street Shootout Champion at our awards banquet.

Don’t really have time to worry about that issue , but You get the Weasel to commit to a race , and you know where I’ll be .

Edge aint gunna bring it out- face it. Put this long and drawn out issue to rest already.
They aint gunna invest all that money to come out and get embarrassed by you. They invested all that money and didn't yield the results that was anticipated from the get go.
Put it to bed already, if they wanna come out to play they know where to bring it, just keep doin your thang and concentrate on knocking down your time.

Greg, you're lucky you weren't here a couple of years ago, he's gotten alot better than he used to be, he was downright rude before :D :D :D
