I have an 04. 5 and there is no way that could happen unless he only coasts downhill everywhere he goes. 20 mpg's city/highway would be a stretch.

It goes back to my opinion that most people decide on a fuel economy they're happy with and report that as fact. After a short time, they believe it themselves.

Ask him to show you his fuel log. And tell him he has the single most fuel efficient Ram on Earth, having beaten USMCBay.

My brother-in law claims he get almost that good of mileage with his 08 Furd F350 Super Duty with the 6. 4 Powerjoke. He's also a lier.

I have a 04. 5 my average is 16 mpg. the truck leavs empty comes back loaded. I just barely hit 20 on 2 tanks on the same trip dont know why. But other wise 17. 5 empty is a good day.

my dad just bought a 06 mega 2wd, with a topper and stock, I took it on a 120 mile trip and averaged 23. 6 hand calculated. So we are pretty happy with that

ask if he has a sail in the bed of his truck, and has 3 sheets to the wind... ... ... . because its obvious he is,:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

yeah a statie won't pull you over at 69 but he will at 70, learned that from my dad many years ago, i have gone past many at that speed or 4mph over the limit and they have never even gave me a second look.

My overhead reads just above 30 mpg:D The difference is, I know it is off by at least 10:{

I also drove my friends '08 6. 4 Ford and actually did pretty well. Dead stock he had been getting 13. 4 on the overhead, I managed 17. 6 where my truck gets about 19. 8. I was actually impressed it did that well.

I just completed a little un-scientific mileage test with my 04. 5 dually; 3. 73; 6 speed. ; 47k miles on truck.

I had my Smarty Jr. on #1 for both trips. Trips were over the same roads.

1st trip. on cruise at 55 mph for 458 miles r/t. 18. 6 mpg. hand calc. carefully.
2nd trip on cruise at 60 mph for 469 miles r/t 18. 7 mpg. . odd that it increased
The overhead indicated 21. 9 on the 2nd trip.

Tomorrow I am doing it again at 65 mph. Will post the results next week.
Could it be that faster speed will give better mpg. ??? Not logical but????

That 30 mpg BS... ... . you can go to hell for lying as well as killing.
