Am getting ready to install FASS and will be bypassing the LP and FF. Can the filter housing and LP be removed with no consequences? I am concerned only because of electrical gremlins that could arise due to the fuel heating element/WIF element not being hooked up. Any info will help.

if you remove the LP bracket beware it is also a block off plate to the old style mech lift pump and holds oil!

I cut the finger off a surgical rubber glove (heavier gauge rubber) and stretched it over the plug, then zip tied it at the wires. Seems to be a pretty good seal...

I did exactly the same thing, but I filled the finger with a nice die electric grease to be safe. No problems with the WIF sensor as of yet.

Also, as stated previously, do NOT remove the entire bracket for the LP, just unbolt the LP from the bracket. I learned this the hard way... . ha-ha.

My fuel filter & LP have been off for almost two years now. So far no problems. I think i used electrical tape on the WIF/heater lines to the filter (it's been a while). No codes there either.

When I had my AirDog installed, the guy took the LP and the FF off. I got the WIF light everytime I took my truck through the car wash, so I ended up putting the LP and FF back on, connecting the factory fuel line back up to the LP, reconnecting the WIF wire to the FF and never got another light again.

I filled water in Fuel plug with Silicone, that way moisture will not get to it.

Rick

I put silicone grease in the fitting so far no issure, removed the pump, with the air dog in. for some reason I can't remember but ater removing the filter I needed to fab up a spacer for the bolts holding the filter bracket on or the intake leaket undr boost. Ed
