Wiredawg, Will Alfa work on 2018, nukegm you will also need the bypass module, the location is behind Radio 2018 Ram Classic, You will also need to remove it for factory WITECH, it will work Running.

IMO , just spend the $40.00 on the sensors and install, and drive , the TPMS module will pick up the new sensors... Now the Ugly part changing the Tire pressures in the module.

Recommend you check out the website for compatibility. You might need an unlock cable. But the tool is cool and you get some pretty powerful options for lots of factory configurations. I purchased everything on Amazon.

It works fine on My 2018 Grand Cherokee, I plugged it in on My 2019 1500 Limited and it shutdown the Vehicle, I rebuild everything Call Infotainment, and they mentioned their must have been power to the SGM when I unplug it, or I did Not Have the SGMBP plug in all the way, Tried it a again with the PDC disconnected / re-connected and it worked as Stated.

Their is No Software for 2018-19 from Alfa at this time, I was able view limited Data with alfa on Both vehicles.

AlfaOBD is a software for the diagnostics of the vehicles produced by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) group. Fiat / Alfa Romeo / Lancia cars produced in 1994-2017, and Chrysler / Dodge / Ram / Jeep cars of model years 2005-2017 are supported. Although the software is primarily targeted for car owners, it provides many of the features of the professional scanners.

hey comrade tcdiesel - i think i will follow your advice. im not that good at computer stuff. nor do i have the time. do you prefer any sensor over another? THANKS much. cheers, chris and thanks everyone else for your input. it is appreciated. :)

THANKS TC. will order now. slid down a ice covered hill at 6 am today and went from 5mph to 45 with the brakes on the entire time. more motivation for some studded duratracks.... thanks again. chris

I might have to investigate turning on TPMS on my 5500 and buying those for it, or i wonder do they have them for steel valve stems? I'll have to check.

hi guys, So if I understand correctly, if I have a good and reasonably new OBD scan tool, I should be able to turn off the TPMS ? I called the dealer to ask them to adjust my sensor pressure lower as I wanted to use larger tires that would require less psi and was told that Chrysler took that ability away from the dealers recently. My Ram is a 2018. Thanks

I will add my $0.02 to this thread. I run my 2008 3/4 truck with TPMS without any sensors installed in my tires and rims. Been doing this for 4 years now with my aftermarket tires and rims. In fact my stock rims with the stock size tires have the original 11 year old sensors in them battery is dead by now. These are used in the winter months. I do get the idiot light and four dings, but I am use to this now.

I do check my tires air pressure the first of each month in both my wife's car and my truck and adjust accordingly.

I have a second set of wheels/tires on my 2016 3500 right now without the TPMS sensors, and other than a brief "Service TPMS System" warning that appears for about a second or two when I first start the truck, I have no other lights on my dash. Not sure if they changed anything for the 2018 trucks or not. I'm pretty sure that if you have a 2500 though, you'll definitely have more warnings.
