Can you identify this mirror for me?

I have a 2006 mega that I bought used. carfax didn't show anything but I think I have an aftermarket RH mirror. The replacement part from mopar did not fit and has a different mount. The LH side one is also differnt which also makes me think aftermarket. I have attached a picture. I need to replace the glass. It is glued in pretty good, so I am looking for the manufacturer so I can just buy a new mirror with backing plate and not buy a whole new mirror.

Those pictures don't help since not many people pull apart their mirrors. ebay has aftermarket mirrors that are similar to but not the same as the factory mirrors. Just search for "dodge ram mirrors".

Search "mirror glass replacement" on here... someone did a nice writeup about replacing the glass on a 3rd gen towing mirror, complete with pictures that you could compare your mirror.

I know most people don't take the mirror apart but I was hoping someone had bought an aftermarket one that might reconize the brand of this mirror so I could get a replacement part and not have to buy the whole thing.

Kool-Vue Mirrors

The only company that I could find for replacement mirrors is Kool-Vue, also quite a few dissatisfied customers, complaints like "mirror shakes too much" & "Cheaply built". Could not find a replacement insert (Mirror). Discount Auto Mirrors - 2006 Dodge Ram 2500

I had found them too. Maybe the best thing is to buy one from ebay and have stock parts on the truck. ... At least some of them.

You can make a template of the mirror glass and go to a glass shop and they can cut one for you. Done it on my buddies dually a few times because his rear wheel spacers let rocks shoot forward and break the mirrors when they are folded out. Cost about 35 bucks. Just an idea, good luck.

I bought a replacement glass and it broke trying to fit it in. Just slightly different corners. I think I am going to just buy a dodge factory one and be done with it.
