Well..... we are still in Cabo over looking the beach recovering from a 72 hour non stop chase stint where we got about 3 hours of sleep for the entire period. But here is a quick recap, we will have a full story on our website.

We started the race knowing that the beginning would be chaos. We settled into a comfortable pace making sure not to make any mistakes. Now starting in class 8 with a truck that has a stock based suspension puts us in front of vehicles that are much faster than our truck. So we had to let alot of vehicles pass in order for us to run our pace that we had planned on. The plan to run a slower pace to save our truck worked though and we saw alot of broken vehicles on the course. We had a lot of down time (around 4 hours) around race mile 860 just above Loreto because we had an inexperienced driver get stuck in the silt twice. Sage and I took our trucks on the course both times to get the truck unstuck. The hardest part was finding ways in to avoid getting in the way of race traffic. We then had a driver change and started making up time. We were told we were 2nd place based on time when another one of our drivers made a mistake at 80 mph and rolled the truck at race mile 1250. Sage and I arrived on scene within 20 min. and got to work. The truck was stuck in a ditch that made things really difficult. After changing out the tire and a couple other parts we were able to pull the truck out of the ditch and started rebuilding the entire front end. We finished the repairs within 4. 5 hours and got the truck back on the track. We finished the race in 7th place. If it wasn't for the driver mistakes we would have been on the podium no problem. But hey that's racing and the canadians will be back next year. They are ecstatic that they finished. 1296miles is a great feat in itself. And on top of that we were competitive in an unlimited class when we had off the shelf parts that we sell in our suspension kits except for the 4" bypass shocks. Oo.

Man that is great news, sorry I could not be there with you guys I know every little bit helps in Baja. Does anyone know how the Kore truck finished or the RPM guys, cant find info anywhere. One of the KORE guys on Dodge talk thought Kent had a trans failure

RPM is sponsored by Kore but not running Kore products or have I pieced too many different posts together to make a false statement?

That is pretty much what I saw when I was talking to them at their rental house on Punta Banda. Same as on Greer bros truck... ... ... ... name on the door but I didn't see any product.

I know what they did, they handicapped themselves with inferior product to keep their race times more believable. :-laf
