Competition Carlisle, KY Roll Call

Competition September 6 & 7 Atlanta Dragway

Well the old black beast broke tonight after winning the single wheel and dual wheel diesel sled pull classes. I then entered an open class with heavy tractors but ended up second when the transfer case output shaft sheared off in front of the driveshaft slip yoke. Anyone want to sell a output shaft or transfer case? Mine is the light duty, model DLD. I need to get it fixed quickly as there is a larger pull tonight;) ;) :) Let me know if you can help. Thanks, Larry

Speaking of breaking, I lost a yoke tonight. :(

Larry, if Big DQ doesn't work out, I got an e-mail from a puller non TDR member in Kentucky that said he has the parts also. Let me know.

Don, Gene and Matt,

Thanks for the offers, I left yesterday on work stuff and didn't get to the computer to see your posts. Drove to southwest Missouri and purchased HD transfercase last night that was supposed to be out of a 1997 but I think is dated 6-28-95. Strange but this case has the same output shaft as my LD case and looks to be the same dimensions so I may get by without driveshaft mods. The newer HD tranfers are much larger then this one and use a different slip yoke. Got the wife to the airport headed for Virginia this morning, so I'm going to tear into the truck. Plan to pull in Owenville tonight if all work out.

I do want to buy parts to fix my original case so Gene please let me know how best to contact your guy.

Don, if I'd known in time I'd bought your transfercase. Do you still need the limited slip for you 2001? Larry

Larry - you're an animal!! To think that less than a year ago at Scheids you were hooking up for the first time to see how you'd do - and now you're breaking stuff! Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but I know you'll get it going even stronger now. :)

Good luck,

Dave

Well Dave,

Stronger engine and a tacky track last night equalled   :{ :{. Took out the newly installed HD transfercase, yoke on the Dana 80 and damaged the rear driveshaft. Sucks... ..... anyone know where they hid the Enron or World-Com money?? :D :D

Larry

By the way, I do know where they hid the money, But if I come out of hiding long enough to tell you, they'll get me:D :D :D

Don

In case any of the MO guys would be interested, The TOY is running. I have a few more safety issues which I hope to have resolved by Aug 3rd for the Fulton Truck pull. We also hope to make the Washington pull on Aug 8th.

Don

Don,

What class are you pulling in? I know they have one or two classes for callowegians only. I was asking about a class for you and Larry and they told me they didn't have any you could pull in.

Matt

Matt, I will be pulling with the Show-Me Truck Pullers assoc. in their pro-stock Classes. The show-Me guys are working with me to get diesel classes at all the pulls they are booking, We hope to have enough interest stirred so that next year we can offer a complete Street-Stock, Pro-Stock and Diesel truck show. So if anyone is interested in pulling, you need to join the Show-Me pullers to show them you want to pull.

Matt, I'm not sure about the V 10 radiator but I suspect the inlet and outlets are different due to CTD's intercooler. Thanks for looking. I've been searching parts also, left my driveshaft in Columbia today and the machinest thinks there may be another Dana 80 yoke that take a larger ujoint... hope that's the case. My radiator should be repairable.

Don,

I appreciate the fan blade offer, I still have my OEM too as I am running a Horton. I should be able to do the radiator repair myself. I'll PM you in re your transfer case. I do want to see the Toy pull so please let us know if Fulton is going to happen.

Larry

Hey Roger rodbolt, Saw you pull at Owensville. Sorry about your truck man. Looked like you did alright even without the rearend helping out.

One thing though, I'm trying to convince my wife that pulling my truck wouldn't hurt it. You sure shot my plans down when she saw your truck spit your rear drive shaft out. :D
