Dad's '87 9130 smokes a lot when the throttle is pushed up. Almost no way of increasing RPM w/o smoking. It would be cool if it were a race truck but this thing smokes like a '70's Mack. I can add chips, gauges, intakes, and whatever simple stuff to the newer trucks but I know next to nothing about the older mechanical engines. What can I do if anything to lessen the smoke a little.
Air filter is new, turbo is good, injectors are good, exhaust manifold was fixed/replaced a couple years ago so there is no more leak there. It just smokes a lot.
I can't remember what the tractor dyno'd. Factory rating is 195hp and I don't think it's much over that.
