Yes I have the cassette model. Never used it until the other day. Put a tape in and it went mostly in. Door doesn't close though. Little cassette light lights up but it doesn't play and it doesn't eject. Doesn't even attempt to eject. I'm hoping theres a manual way to eject the tape. Or maybe this is the sign its time to upgrade to something a little more modern :)
 
My son in law does car stereo for a living I will ask him if their is anything that will work correctly with the steering wheel controls
 
Used car sales managers always have a list of contacts to repair issues like that as simply and cheaply as possible because late model trades taken in often have minor problems like that requiring a fix before the car can go on the lot. Ask a local used car sales manager who he would send a car or truck with that problem to.

Ten or so years ago my wife had that problem in her BMW 325 sedan. I asked the BMW dealer sales manager and he suggested an auto electronics shop that does that kind of work. The cassette player was quickly repaired at a reasonable price.
