Gang,

I'm done for today. Being a few hours ahead of you has also it's advantages.

Now you work and I play... :D

I'm leaving for the weekend. The boat is waiting for me... Oo.

Have a nice weekend!

Have FUN!

Marco

P. S. Sorry Richard I just couldn't resist... . :-laf :-laf :-laf

Dark HORSE,

I don't see too many horses... .

Correct me if I'm wrong, last time I saw a horse I noticed that these animals have rather biggie "injectors". LMAO :-laf :-laf :-laf

Maybe you should change your name into something like Dark Pony???? :D :D

Sorry just couldn't resist... LOL

Marco

Now that was funny! Sorry Richard. Marco must be in a really good mood cause he was on a roll with that one. I can see he can dish it out pretty good, and takes it quite well also.

You must have some wimpy ridiculus small injectors in that engine.

With bigger injectors the CC becomes a useless pile of junk...

Believe me... :-laf :-laf

Marco

Marco, I would suggest to you that CC may be of benefit in keeping one from receiving a speeding ticket from the local gendarmes. When I went for 800 mile cruise last weekend it was hard to keep my truck in the 70mph range. Foot/leg would become a little tired (pretty much a non-stop trip each way) and before I knew I would be running 80+ in my CaTCHERized truck. So there... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Roger

Ps. And I don't have exactly wimpy injectors.

Marco can you do a 100 pin Cummins ECM? I have one that might have some interesting programing on it as it's marked motorola confidental on it

Thanks

Question for Marco

Marco,

I've been reading this post over the last couple days and I'm confused on one issue. Does the Cruise control work on the 2002 ho 6sp trucks that are electronically controlled? I'm considering having you flash my ECM but I use my Cruise control all the time on long trips.

The CC has to work!

Period!

I wasn't aware that the 2002's need a certain setting in the SW to get the electronic CC to work. Similar to the 01. 5 ETH's... .

Did it.

Marco

??????

Marco,

I myself don't know? Like I said I might be confused that is just what I gathered from reading through this post. But I might be getting different years and specs crossed in my head.

So I guess my question is to any 2002 HO 6spd's that have Marcos ECM flash on them. Does your cruise control work properly?

Thanks for the fast reply Marco and sorry if I have confused you.

Hemiless,

Sorry, maybe my answer wasn't as clear as it shoul've been.

I've had problems with the 01. 5's & 02's, ETH electronic cruise control.

That is solved now.

So I guess my question is to any 2002 HO 6spd's that have Marcos ECM flash on them. Does your cruise control work properly?

Yes and since that's a FAQ I'd like to add, it HAS to work.

It's there from the factory, Marco has to make it work too... .

Let's asume for a moment that I can ( yes I do ).

Now what? What do we do with the magic information found in that ECM?

Let' s further assume that this confidential ECM was used in a Ram. Now what? How was it connected? What did it do? How can we find out?

Hmmm, is it worth the trouble?

Well I'm not sure that it was used in a ram infact I would bet not, as it's a 100 pin, and the pinout is not compatiable. As for what's on it I don't have a clue... for all I know it's a 150 hp QSB ECM:) So there might be some interesting fuel curves or not... My main interest (other than what it might have on it ) is to get your catcher code on it and some of the Cummins features turned on so I can use it on my abortion conversion in my chevy truck:) I guess the other area that might be interesting is that the unit might have eeproms in it where the standard units have proms that are locked down. .

William... .

The 100 Pin ECM is similar to the 50 Pin. Same CPU same RAM same Flash...

It has two CAN controllers while the 50pin has only one, several A-D & D-A circuits more... So working on it is almost the same as with the 50 Pin.

Tweaking it is not a problem. What I can't do is turn on Cummins features.

For that you'd need a Cummins shop.

For the record; I've been running a CaTCHER since Aug. 2 & I like this system more every day.

BTW, Marco, Dark Pony says machx nix with the stix. I'm sized for the job & I kick a** too! :-laf :-laf :-laf

Richard! Dude, what's up with you??? I see eleven... The tire smoking acceleration of the CaTCHER must have some nasty side effect on your person... :-laf Too much diesel fumes lately?!?

Stix??? INJECTOR(S)!!! That's what you need! And me is blah blah about... :D :D :-laf

Bob, could I have a little fun with those ECM's too??? Pleeezze! :-laf

I'm ready... .

Serious now.

Yesterday it was raining here.

As you maybe know, my original ECM is gone and I've been driving with a broke ECM with stock file and most time in limp mode. ( Several weeks )

Friday I recived an ECM which a fellow TDR member (who wants to remain anonymous) was so kind to sell me. Thanks Richard! :-laf

I build it for my testing needs and CatCHERized it. Yesterday it went into my truck... It was raining... sure enough this old idiot went on the throttle like he was used with the broke ECM. I've "parked" my truck in the field near to the road... . other than my ego no damage done! A little dirt here and there... :{ :{ :{

One more time! PLEASE be carefull with the CaTCHER! I've been lucky once again...

Good Golly!! Tire smoke & diesel fumes... may be it's my bifocals... how could I miss the one on the top!!??

It's raining a lot here too. I'll be easy on my CaTCHERised go pedal. No need to get to much mud on the tiers. :-laf :-laf

No need to get to much mud on the tiers

On the tires? You should've seen the rest of my poor truck... :(

In his great wisdom, God has alowed some peolple to earn their money running a car wash. :D
