BINGO! Ya got it Roger!

darkhorse, I am used to driving a different truck than the one I drove with the Catcher.

I'm getting the picture now. Your talking bigger turbos & much bigger injectors along with the extra squirt of the fueling box. It's like compairing my apple with your buddies banana & your mango. :-laf

I really am trying to decide if i want one or not!!!

Does anyone know where i can find a ecm so i can keep mine as a spare??? or is it even worth it??

Chris

I bought an extra ECM through E-bay. I wanted to keep my original just "in case... " After running the CaTCHER for a month or so I knew I wouldn't be going back to my original. I ended up selling my spare to Marco. I see on your signature that you are running an Edge comp. There have been some compatability problems when the comp is running in the higher settings. That might be a problem for you but I hear lots of folks with comps, don't see the need to use it after the CaTCHER is insalled. I know Marco is working on the compatibility problem but I'm not sure how that's working out.

what kind of problems are they having running them with the comp. I like using mine because of the decrease in egt's. I have also heard that because i have a factory pump non ho that i would still see a decent gain from having the comp.

I need some advice and help with this decision. The whole compatibility problem has put a whole new spin on things.

Chris

chris, I would be happy to answer any question's you may have. It's a toll free number 888 225 7637 pacific stanard time or you can leave a call back number and I will call you back . Thanks

Gang,

The "Comp incompatibility" you're talking about is still a ???.

First of what's that incompatibility?

Well from what I know, it affects the heavily modified trucks with twins, BIG injectors and and and...

In that scenario the CaTCHER combined with the Comp box shows a lower top Hp gain than what an original ECM would show.

It is most likely an timing issue. I'm working on it.

Marco

I am by no means "big" horsepower. I have a drag, 100 hp injectors and a 35/40 hybrid. Maybe 400hp or a little more. Will this effect my truck?

Chris

How quickly will the Catcher Eat up my stock auto?

Mine did not last longer than 3000 Km... I have to say though that I've never even tried to be gentle with the stock transmission.

I would like to say NO... but @ this point I'm not certain. My truck is setup similar to yours and I've never noticed any problem with my Drag Comp.

Marco

Do you have any idea when this fix for this might be? I really love my drag and do not really want to get rid of it so i may wait until you cure this problem.

Chris

so what is the deal with the mad ecm and the edge drag comp? i was going to try and buy a mad ecm the other day but saw this thread and some info about the mad ecm and drag comp having some issuse. just curious on whats the deal? still going to get one! :D

Black-Smoker...

This just happened to me after over 5K.

At Marco's recommendation I removed the neg. battery cables for a couple of hours and reconnected. Wait to Start returned and the codes I had went away also. Three days and 20+ restarts since, and everything's fine.
