I recently had my transmission replaced under the dodge 70k drivetrain warranty.
They replaced the entire assembly because they estimated it was too far gone to rebuild.
Anyway they list as the failure: Worn bushing causing score in sun gear and direct gears. The guy said the magnet in the bottom of the pan looked like a big flower it had so much metal on it.
I had them throw in an ATS converter while they were at it, and I'm going to have the VB done when that gets here in the mail, but I'm just wondering if it's even worth it, or if a similar problem will happen in the next 37000 miles.
