I am quite sure this is not Antenna noise as I have a firestick and had mounted it where suggested with no luck.

What is the best noise control for the power lines? I've tried RS type solutions in the past and frankly they suck!

Yesterday I was in two Rams with CBs and both worked great.
I NEED SOME IDEAS, THX

I plumbed in a 2nd length of coax to the trailer hitch. I connect that up to an antenna up on the 5th Wheel. Getting the antenna up high helps. While caravanning, we find ourselves stuck in traffic trying to pass while the rest of the group is getting farther ahead. It doesn't take too many little rolling hills to loose contact. Try a 4' or less metallic antenna of some kind up high on your trailer/5th wheel. Put a spring on it for those low hanging branches. A firestick gets shredded. #ad

Did you happen to see where those other cb's had the groud and power wires hooked up.

A loose antenna connection or a bad cable can also cause the same hum.

Try disconnecting the cable from the radio. Then try it from the antenna end. You should also try someone elses antenna and cable. That will eliminate those parts as the problem.
