I concur with SCOT. I purchased the Painless Wiring Kit from Geno's Garage ( http://www.genosgarage.com/ ) which is a seven circuit - 4 ignition hot; 3 constant hot auxiliary fuse block that I had mounted under the steering column behind the kick panel. This way if you ever wanted to add 12v accessories the wiring is already there. It is really easy to install. This is how I am powering my CB but had to run another set wires directly to the battery for my ham radio as it pulls 30 amps on transmit. The Painless Kit has seven circuits rated at 20 amps each.
Also, since most CB's pull only about 2 amps you could always come of the cig adapter but may have some EMF. Although it would be portable.
You could go to radioshack and purchase a cigarett lighter power adapter and plug it in to your power adaptor. If it is already being used, you can ask them for a multiple plug adaptor. Turns 1 into 2.
