Truck has been sitting perhaps a few weeks. A few times I started it just to move it maybe 20' or so.

Anyhow today I decided it needed a little run. Started it up and let it run while I was doing a few things, maybe 10 minutes max. I get in and notice "Check Engine", now it started fine and since it was a bit cool out (around 43-ish) I could hear the grids coming on & off while I was doing whatever. So I shut it down and throw the code reader on in = 2 codes both P0336 Crank Position Sensor A CKT Range/Perf. Cleared codes fired back up and all seemed well. Head down the road and hear "chime", not the CEL but the fuel gauge reading below E? I'm like WTH??? I just put in 15 gallons and know it was over 3/4? I shut it down and restarted and fuel gauge back up to where it was and all was/is fine.

Not really worried, just a bit curious? Is this the truck's way of telling me "Dude, you cannot just leave me sit around 'FOREVER', you need to drive me at least once a week or I'll screw you bad..." LOL

Weather has been odd, during the truck's sitting time, rain, sun, cold (down to 31 last night) then warmed back up to mid 70s the other day. Don't thing that could have anything to do with whatever went on but, she's an older gal and I guess needs some use to feel worthy?

With the temps dropping, check for VERMIN damage! Noticed them chewing on the battery blankets again and carpet bombed the area along with bait station! They're looking to set up shop and my truck only sits a day or two at most! I'd thought they'd be in the 1500 as that's my backup. ( snowplow and mail getter ) I do take the Ol' Gal out for a spin every 2 weeks to turn grease and heat up! Check for that and any fluid leaks that could be getting in or on connectors. Good hunting!
