Air Dog Install Complete

I thinking of getting some exhaust parts coated and I'm looking for recommendations from members that have done it and been pleased with the results or not pleased with the results so I don't have problems.

I have one recommendation so far to have NHTC in Concord, NH do it. The person gave it excellent reviews. Are there any others?

Airborne Coating in East Hartford, Ct is another source.

My son had some VW gasser parts (manifolds) done there several years ago and a street rodder friend had some Chevy gas engine parts done within the past year or so.

They were both satisfied, but I don't know any more detail than that.

Ceramix Coatings

Hi,

I have a company that does all my ceramic coatings. I use a Turbo Gold Ceramex coating on my exhaust manifolds and it looks great and has held up perfectly. It is as the name says Gold in color. Also a Ceramex coating that is polished like chrome. This one can't stand as high of temps but it also has held up perfectly fine on exhaust manifolds. I don't think I would cover the exhaust housing with that one though. Can also coat in Black or various other colors like silver or titanium etc.

You are welcome to call me if you would like. (603)582-1471

I think I have some photos I could private e-mail you.

I've used coatings from both Swain & Jet Hot. The ATS manifold & downpipe were both done by Jet Hot. Manifold done in grey 2000F inside & outside. Downpipe done in JetHot 1300F Sterling (almost chrome plated look), gives it a nice durable chrome look w/o the blueing. Swain did the exh housing on my HX40. It's not as smooth as either of the JetHot coatings, but does the job very nicely.

I must recommend Jet-Hot they do some wonderful work and fair pricing, Also you might check with Ford Performance Solutions I know I know ford but they are a race shop but Im not sure if they do coatings but they know who to talk to you a friend of mine just had some stuff done by them and it was amazing.

I used Jet-Hot back in my HotRod day's and have always had great luck. .

My last set of street headers were $700. 00 and I wasn't going to let just anyone do the coating. . There a good shop with good turn around. .

I'll vote for swain tech if you value function over appearance. Their coatings are designed for function FIRST, then appearance.

Check out their white manifold coating-- probably the best insulator coating around.
