Cheapest/Most Convenient Emmisions Test in CO?

Anyone know of a place in the Denver area that charges less than (the maximum allowed) $45 for a diesel emmisions test? I used Progressive last year, since they used to be $10 cheaper, but it was kind of a hassle making an appointment and such, especially when I still had to wait when I got there.



(Not sure where to put this, figured I'd try here since most of the RMTDR guys run 24Vs. )

I dunno how much they charge, but I was told there is a good shop off of 72nd and Sheridan. I'll talk to Coop and see if he can get me the information again.

There is a little place on W. 44th at Jay St. Called the Tune Shop, he was accepting anybodys discount cards. The owners name is Bud and he is a very nice guy. He is mostley only there in the mornings if you want to give him a call 303-424-2235. The best thing is that he wont beat up your truck when he is testing it. He can't test a 3500 because his dyno's not wide enough.

Thanks for the info on this guy Terry. I think I'm gonna give him a call and see if he can run a preliminary test on my truck to make sure I pass (I especially need it due to how bad a smoke).

I don't know about this $45 limit, but the emission clinic near 73rd and Sheridan charged $58. I watched the guy dyno it, and he was real nice and gentle with it. No appointment, I just walked in and only waited about 10 minutes. There may be others cheaper, but I will go back to these guys next year.



BTW, 3% opacity was my maximum.
