Anyway, I've been to the dealer, I've scanned codes, I've checked everything possible to check. I have noticed a pattern to the light though. When first starting the truck up for the day when it is cold I will get the light right as the truck starts up and it will usually stay on till I drive away and get over 5-10mph.
It will continue to come on as I come to a stop, usually around 15mph or so and stay on while stopped then turn off as I start rolling past 5-10mph.
Once the truck is up to full temp (180-200) it never comes on again and won't come on again till the truck is cold again.
As soon as the light comes on it sets a check engine light as well but no new codes are stored. If I go on a long trip once the trucks hot the check gauges stops coming on as said and the check engine will shut off after a while but as soon as the truck is shut down and gets cold overnight it's back on the next morning.
Getting rather frustrated here... The ding is driving me nuts! What the heck would cause a check gauges light while cold and stopped?????
